General information

Temsirolimus is a mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibitor. It arrests the cell cycle progression in C1 phase and is used in the treatment of cancer. Temsirolimus was suggested to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 infection via mTOR inhibition (although by an unknown mechanism) (Mullen et al., 2021; NCIt).
