General information

(Recombinant) IL-3 is a hematopoietic growth factor. IL-3 promotes innate antiviral immunity in the airways. Low plasma levels of IL-3 were determined to be a prognostic marker associated with increased viral load, infection severity, and mortality in COVID-19 (Bénard et al., 2021).
