Moxidectin
An antiparasitic macrocyclic lactone.
General information
Moxidectin is a macrocyclic lactone with antiparasitic activity. It binds nematode neuronal and pharyngeal muscle glutamate-gated chloride channels, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors, and/or ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. This results in parasite’s muscle paralysis and decreased fertility (NCIt).
