Levothyroxine
A synthetic version of the thyroid hormone thyroxine.
General information
Levothyroxine is a synthetic thyroxine (T4) (a thyroid hormone) isomer. It is involved in multiple cellular processes (NCIt). It used as a supplement in patients with insufficient thyroid gland T4 or triiodothyronine (T3) secretion (DrugBank).
