Lamivudine
A nucleoside analogue.
General information
Lamivudine is a synthetic nucleoside analogue. It acts through inhibition of viral DNA polymerisation. Lamivudine is used for treatment of hepatitis B virus and human immunodeficiency virus 1 infection (NCIt).
