General information

H014 is a humanized murine monoclonal antibody targeting SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein's RBD in the open conformation developed using a phage display technique (Lv et al., 2020). H014 binds to Spike protein trimers of B.1.1.7 and B.1.351 without a reduction in affinity. For a standard version of Spike protein, the antibody displayed cooperative binding with antibodies HB27, P17, and FC05 (Sun et al., 2021; Wang et al., 2020; Yao et al., 2020).

The humanized monoclonal antibody neutralizes SARS-CoV-2 live- and pseudovirus at nanomolar concentrations. It binds RBD of Spike protein in the open conformation and thereby inhibits the virus' attachment to the host cell. The antibody is effective against developement of lung pathology in a hACE2 mouse model of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
