Dronedarone
An 1-benzofuran antiarrhythmic drug.
General information
Dronedarone is an amiodarone derivate. It is used as an antiarrhythmic drug based on its inhibitory activity against multiple ion channels. It can produce liver-related side effects (LiverTox; DrugBank).
Dronedarone was observed to inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 Papain-like protease in vitro (Jan et al., 2021).
