aly-miR396a-5p
A plant derived miRNA.
General information
aly-miR396a-5p is a ginger derived miRNA. It can be transported via exosome-like nanoparticles. The miRNA reduced SARS-CoV-2-induced cytopathic effect in vitro and reduced NF-κB-mediated inflammation and apoptosis in a murine model of Nsp12/Nsp13-exosome-induced lung inflammation. It also displayed anti-inflammatory activity in an LPS-induced septic mouse model. The miRNA inhibits the expression of the Nsp12 gene (Teng et al., 2021).
