Acetylsalicylic acid, also known as Aspirin, is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug with antipyretic, analgesic, and anticoagulant properties (NCIt). It is on the World Health Organization Model List of Essential Medicines.

Acetylsalicylic acid has NOT been observed to reduce the risk of death in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in RECOVERY trial.
